La reunion, imminente, dei Rage Against the Machine ha segnato la fine dei “‹”‹Prophets of Rage.

Nel 2016, i membri della RATM, Tom Morello, Brad Wilk e Tim Commerford avevano creato con Chuck D e DJ Lord dei Public Enemy e B-Real di Cypress Hill i Prophets of Rage. Il gruppo fece un ampio tour, suonando materiale dei rispettivi gruppi di provenienza, ma registrarono anche un EP, “The Party’s Over” nel 2016 e un LP omonimo nel 2017.

Ora, però, il tempo dei Prophets of Rage è giunto al termine. In un post di Instagram, B-Real ha riconosciuto che la reunion dei RATM significa anche la fine dei Prophets of Rage.

I want to say thank you to the fans that supported @prophetsofrage for the time we’ve been rocking together. It’s been an honor to rock stages and people of all ages with these guys. It’s been a great time and great memories in a short time. Rockin along side of Chuck and Tom has been amazing to say the least. It was fun while it lasted and I hope we left a big impression and that the music has been a source of inspiration for those that needed it. That was the purpose we got together. So I say to y’all stay informed, stay engaged and fight the good fight. ✌🏽️🤟🏼

Quando un fan nei commenti ha chiesto se il progetto Prophets of Rage fosse “finito“, B-Real ha risposto scrivendo semplicemente “sì“.

Anche Chuck D ha espresso un sentimento simile in un tweet.
Fine della corsa quindi per un progetto che è servito a “mantenere” caldi e vivi i vari membri, pronti per “nuove avventure”.
